LARGEST FLAG WAVING GATHERING

In honor of Flag Day on June 14, consider rallying your audience to create the largest gathering of flag wavers in your market.  Solicit listeners to bring a flag to a public location to wave at your gathering as a show of support for the troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and all over the world.  Have flags available for those who show up empty handed.  Give the listeners who show up a station promotional item or other prize incentive.

Make sure your call letters are clearly visual at the site and alert all of the local media outlets of the event.  You may get lucky and get a TV crew there if it is a slow news day.  Shoot your own digital video footage of the event to post on your website.  You could even post it on YouTube.  Take still pictures as well to provide to the local newspapers with a press release after the event is over.
