Since June 26th is officially Take Your Dog To Work Day, there’s a good chance that these celebrities will have their pooches with them on the job today.  Consider a contest where you give out the dogs’ breeds and names and challenge listeners to name the celebrity who owns them.

Adam Sandler’s best man at his wedding wasn’t a man at all, but instead was an English Bulldog named Meatball, dressed in a tux and yarmulke  Meatball died of a heart attack at age four, but Sandler and his wife Jackie have another bulldog named Matzoball.

Oprah Winfrey, who was named World’s Best Celebrity Dog Owner by readers of The New York Dog and The Hollywood Dog magazines, owns five dogs.  Cocker Spaniels Sophie and Solomon and Golden Retrievers Luke, Layla, and Gracie live with Oprah in her super-renovated Chicago condo which was formerly four separate units.  She constantly defends her pets against noise complaints and the building’s one-pet-per-unit rule.

Tori Spelling helps run Much Love, an animal rescue foundation that finds families for homeless pets from which she adopted a wire-haired terrier mix named Leah.  She also has the pug Mimi La Rue which she was photographed pushing in a baby stroller in Hollywood in 2006.

Martha Stewart has four Chow Chows, Zu-Zu, Paw-Paw, Cin-Cin, and Empress Woo.

Will Smith owns two Rottweilers named Indo and Zhaki.

Ashley Judd owns a cock-a-poo named Buttermilk.

Jimmy Buffet owns  Golden Retriever named Cheeseburger.
