THE 2009 MOST TO LEAST OBESE U.S. STATES

A new report issued by the Trust for America’s Health says Mississippi gets the title as the country’s most overweight state.  32.5% of people in Mississippi are considered to be obese.  The state with the fewest obese residents was Colorado, where only 18.9% were found to be obese.  Here is the complete list:

3.  West Virginia 31.1%

4.  Tennessee  30.2%

5.  South Carolina 29.7

6.  Oklahoma 29.5%

7.  Kentucky 29%

8.   Louisiana 28.9%

10. Arkansas and Ohio 28.6% (tie)

12. North Carolina 28.3%

13. Missouri 28.1%

14. Georgia and Texas 27.9% (tie)

18. Alaska and Kansas 27.2% (tie)

20.  Nebraska and South Dakota 26.9% (tie)
