Owners can looks for dog dates by zip code as well as by the type of dog that might be a good match for their own using age, weight, breed, temperament and preferred activities. The site also sponsors monthly meet-ups at various dog parks, and lists dog parks, vets and dog-friendly restaurants with ratings. The canine “dating” service has more than 500 members and is free.

This idea is something you may be able to capitalize on in your local market. Consider hooking up your dog owning listeners with dog dates for their pets. You could do this by creating an event at an area dog park on a semi-regular basis or just by doing a little on-air match making on your show. If your website manager has the wherewithal and time, you could also allow dog owning listeners to hook up via a link on your station website.
