NATIONAL GROUCH DAY

October 15th is officially National Grouch Day, a day set aside for you to get in touch with your “inner-grouch”. We all have little things in our lives that make us grouchy and people just don’t allow us enough time to be grouchy about them.  For example, it makes me so grouchy when people throw cigarette butts on the ground.  Cigarette butts do not evaporate into the environment.  In fact, cigarette butts are the number one source of litter in America.  Every time I see somebody flick a butt to the ground it makes me crabby.

In honor of the National Grouch Day, have a “Grouches Exorcism”Offer your listeners the opportunity to bring their petty little, every day grouching to you as a way of purging themselves of all that negativity. Make sure to frame this idea in a way that prevents listeners from calling you with “big world” grouches about politics, war, etc.  It will only be entertaining if the calls are grouching about spouses, coworkers or the little things in life in general.
