THE THINGS WE DO IN THE NAME OF THE KIDS

The film adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s 1963 classic children’s story Where Wild Things Are opens in theaters on October 16th.  That means parents across the country will be pretending they have to take their kids to this movie when, secretly, they have been looking forward to seeing it themselves.

This brings up the question, “What have you done in the name of just doing it for the kids that you secretly really wanted to do yourself but couldn’t have without having children as an excuse to do it?” Look for the single most childish form of entertainment that your adult listeners have secretly enjoyed.
