EDIBLE BOARD GAMES

The latest trend in food is edible classic board games. Monopoly, the chocolate edition, features a paper board, a spinner replaces the dice, and the properties are chocolates. It will be available for $10 this month at target.com.  You can also get a chocolate version of Trivial Pursuit, which comes with 96 bite size chocolate questions.

In grocery stores you can now find edible versions of Scrabble and Operation.  Cheez-It Scrabble’s crackers are stamped with letters designed to fit on a Scrabble Junior board.  Unfortunately the crackers do not include the letter scores.  A box of Cheez-It Scrabble crackers will cost you $3.  The Operation fruit snacks from Kellogg’s  won’t test your dexterity like the classic game, but you can still pluck Cavity Sam’s ailments, such as frog in his throat, out of the bag.  A box of 10 bags of the snacks sell for $2.50.
