WHAT IS GOOGLE EARTH SEEING?

By now you’ve been able to see a satellite image of your home via Google Earth (earth.google.com).  Google Street View lets you explore neighborhoods virtually as though you were driving through them.  While this service is a great time saver if you’re house hunting, it’s also controversial.

Last year the U.S. Department of Defense barred Google from gathering street images on U.S. military bases and installations.  In Japan, where streets are narrow and fences low, people have complained about images that have been captured in their yards.  This bring to mind the topic, “What Do You Do in Your Backyard That You Wouldn’t Want Google to See? Compile a list of the strangest or most inappropriate things your audience does in their backyards as resolution to this topic.
