WHAT’S UP WITH THOSE LONG PAPER RECEIPTS?

More and more companies are trying to find ways to go green these days, but apparently that doesn’t include saving paper.  Receipts are getting out of control with stores tacking on rebate forms, coupons, surveys, and more.  Consumer Reports found the worst offenders.  The following receipts were for just one to four items:

Sears                                      4 2/3 feet (one pair of crew socks)

Verizon                                    3 feet

Banana Republic                      1 1/2 feet

CVS                                        1 1/3 feet

Rite Aid                                   11 3/4 inches

Urban Outfitters/Pottery  Barn   11 1/2 inches

Saks Fifth Avenue                    10 1/2 inches
