JOB APPLICATION N0-N0sA recent survey of human resource managers reveals what turns them off about job applicants. Their biggest pet peeve when it comes to job applications is bad grammar and spelling errors on cover letters and resumes. 99% of the recruiters said grammar and spelling errors will lower your chances of getting the job. Wacky email addresses also turn them off. 53% are put off by any email address that isn’t some combination of the applicants first and last name. A significant number of the recruiters also said overly pesky follow up was a negative. 43% believe you should call or email an interviewer no more than once a week to ask if you’re still in the running.
