WHAT WILL THE HOT NEW TECHNOLOGY BE IN 2010?

The 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show opens in Las Vegas today.  Each year, this show gives us a sneak peak at what the next big thing in electronics will be.  According to the experts at PC Magazine, the next big thing is devices that do everything.  Think of them as Apple TV with apps.  Most of these media extenders can stream music or video from a computer on a wireless network, as well as access offerings like Netflix’s on-demand movie/video library.  Many companies seem to be heading towards having Facebook and Flickr apps, Netflix access, and streaming media – all wrapped in one easy-to-set-up box.  If the past year is any indicator, what we see as boxes this year will be services embedded in televisions in a year or two.
