WHO IS THE BEST LIVING “GANGSTER” ACTOR?

February 9th is actor Joe Pesci’s 67th birthday.  Pesci, some might say, is the best actor to play a gangster of all time.  His role in Goodfellas is certainly a classic.  With this in mind, it could be fun to launch the discussion,  Who Are The Top Five Best Living Actors Who Have Played Gangsters? While Pesci makes my list, he is not my top living  “gangster” actor.  Here are my top five living “gangster” actors.  How does it line up with yours?

1.  Al Pacino – Michael Corleone “The Godfather”

2.  Joe Pesci – Tommy DiVito “Goodfellas”

3.  Chazz Palminteri – Primo Sidone “Analyze This” and just about every other gangster role he’s done.

4.  John Travolta – Vincent Vega “Pulp Fiction”

5.  James Gandolfini – Tony Soprano “The Sopranos”
