CREATE YOUR OWN SUMMER CAMP

Not all parents can afford to send their kids to a summer camp so consider creating your own radio station version of summer camp. Put together an event at either a public or private location. Have your air personalities acts as camp counselors for the day. Arrange all manner of fun areas where kids can do crafts, hear stories, learn to cook something, or any other kind of summer camp-like activities you can conceive of. You can also stage races and other competitions and end the day with a campfire sing-a-long.

Your sales department might also want to get involved and arrange partnerships clients in the food and beverage business, sporting good stores or even big retailers like Wal-Mart or Target.

If you wanted to flip this on its head, you could also do a summer camp just for grown up guys or one for women only. That way mom could watch the kids while dad is at “camp” and dad could watch them while mom is at “camp”. Come up with a list of activities for each camp that each sex loves to do but their significant others do not.
