WHAT IS THE SCARIEST TYPE OF BAD GUY IN HORROR MOVIES?

With the release of the latest Twilight movie, Eclipse this weekend and the popularity of the cable television series True Blood, once again America is obsessed with vampires. But are vampires really the scariest bad guys in horror movies? According to a recent survey, no. 50% of those surveyed said a crazed human killer, as seen in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, is the scariest type of horror movie bad guy. 25% said a killer with special powers as in Nightmare on Elm Street was the scariest. 17% said they feared an army of the undead as in Night of the Living Dead. Vampires actually came in last on the list of scary horror guys tying science gone wrong guys like Frankenstein with 4% each.
