‘TIS THE SEASON TO SEE TATTOOS

The hotter the weather gets, the less clothing we wear and the more skin we show and it seems these days almost everyone has a tattoo.  But just how many of us really do sport tats?  People between the ages of 26 and 40 are the most likely to have a tattoo (40%).  36% of Americans between 18 and 25 have a tat.  31% of gay, lesbian, and bisexual Americans have at least one tattoo.

So, what motivates us to go through the pain of getting a tattoo?    Tattoo wearers think their body art makes them sexier.  42% of women said their tattoo made them feel sexier and 25% of men felt their tattoos added to their sex appeal.

However, those of us without tattoos view tatted people differently.  36% said tattoos made the wearer less sexy and a whopping 57% believe a tattoo makes someone appear more rebellious.
